Joe Mattioli

Joe is a partner in The Baher Group, LLC, a behavioral health consulting and marketing firm servicing addiction treatment and recovery centers. While his professional background is multi-disciplinary, today Joe’s work is deeply rooted in his personal struggle with addiction and supporting those who suffer from the disease.

Having begun his career at Pocono International Raceway, a NASCAR facility in Long Pond, Pa., Joe served in various management capacities and functions, including operations, logistics, marketing, and sponsorships – and escalating to the position of vice president. While racing will always hold a special place in his heart, Joe’s own journey to recovery inspired a passion in him for helping others that has since become his life’s work.

Joe launched his career in recovery with Clearbrook Treatment Centers, Laurel Run, Pa., where he first received treatment. Over six years with Clearbrook, he served as patient care advocate, director of special projects, director of information technology and digital marketing, director of operations, and executive director.

He left Clearbrook in 2019 to serve as executive director and, later, chief operating officer for Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery, Scotrun, Pa. – a 110 bed startup inpatient detox and residential treatment center for substance use disorders. Under his leadership, Brookdale became a tremendous success.

In 2021, Joe and two partners formed The Baher Group to offer the value of their collective successes and experiences to other behavioral health providers and organizations.

In addition to serving on the board of the Recovery Rises Foundation, Joe dedicates his time to several non-profit organizations, including NorthBound & Co and Habitat for Humanity Monroe County.
